請問一下A選項的 increased by less than 5 percent last year 的意思?
是上升但<5%,還是下降5%
A選項在這裡的用意是做為對照,意思是說即使全體食物的銷量都沒有增加那麼多的百分比,但popcorn的銷量卻上升比它還要多的百分比,醬相對比較下,換油其實並沒有hurt popcorn sales, 對嗎?而有可能因為popcorn的銷量增加才使得全部食物銷量增加

原文中M說他要換回原來的油,因為新油對他的產品銷售造成傷害.

Why can't the answer be E then?

Because if the year b4 last, moviemania experienced a 10 %increase in popcorn slaes over the last and on the passage it says this year moviemania sold 5 % more popcorn than last wihich make it 15.5 % more than the year b4 last. Therefore the statement E strengthen the argument against Moviemania's claim.

the quesiton concerns whether the last year's decision on started propping its popcorn in canola is hurting its popcorn sales or not.

the popcorn sales of the year before last year is irrelevant.
