SUNY-Buffalo....爛!!!!!!!!

不好意思...我無意去罵這間學校的學生
我是罵他們MBA Office的人員.........
就在4/1日愚人節當天寄了一封錄取的信（附件一）
恭喜我錄取並期待我的加入...巴拉巴拉的
然後就在今天
他竟然又寄了一封制式化的拒絕信（附件二）
把我拒絕掉
我看到
傻眼..........

啊！是怎樣？？？！！！

當下先寫了信並且把原本的錄取信附上去
跟他們說我因為你們給我Ad，拒絕了兩家學校
請他們給我合理的解釋
後來請朋友打電話過去問
他說他們第一封並不是正式的信
第二封才是
並且說已經在第二封信上都有說明為何會reject我了
這擺明了就是超級敷衍的
因為第二封信壓根沒提到為何會做出不一樣的決定
只是一封制式化的拒絕信
目前整個人就是一個火
星期一打算再去吵一次.....
真的感覺超級差的，
難道他們特別選在四月一日給我錄取信是一個大玩笑嗎？

The MBA Admissions Committee has carefully evaluated your application. I am sorry to advise you that the committee's decision was not to offer you admission to the MBA Program for the Fall 2006 semester. Please be assured that your application received thorough consideration.

The Admissions Committee has had difficult decisions to make. The committee certainly feels that you have attributes which would contribute much to our program and to your success as a manager. However, other applicants have presented stronger credentials and were, therefore, accepted.

If your GMAT or TOEFL scores were low, you may wish to retake the exams. We consider the highest score of multiple reports. You may request, in writing, an update of your application if you have additional grades, new score reports, or other pertinent information.

We do appreciate your interest in our program and are sorry to

看完兩個附件 我也覺得太扯了 以我的申請經驗 要拒絕都很直接 搞兩封信 這實在沒有大學校的風範 別難過 還會有更好的選擇

第一封我有收過...是通知已經錄取的同學有這個mba forum...
照理說是錄取了沒錯...
要不就是他對所有的申請人都發這email....

不知道原po有沒有在您錄取(收到第一封接受信時)去查status...
您有看到admitted/accept的字樣嗎?
要是當初有..現在卻把你reject...那真的就是很怪了!

另外..我在想第2封信有沒有可能要你條件式入學?因為你的托福或at不夠
我覺得你要直接打電話去問christine或jaimie..
直接講比較清楚...透過第3者可能有些誤會
他們staff人都不錯的...再問問看囉....
希望只是烏龍一場........

也跟樓主一樣,但在之前並沒有Ad的通知,
所以第一封並不是對所有申請者都會發的,
我也覺得你要趕緊打電話去搞清楚,

我剛才查了自己的status，自己的確是被reject....
今天電話打過去時，他們也說知道這個錯誤，
但是就是敷衍的說第一封不是正式的信，第二封才是！
但是我覺得他們行政上的錯誤可以造成很嚴重的後果，
如果我真的因為他們學校而拒絕了兩家原本要給我入學的學校，
又或者因為拿到他們的入學許可後，我快速的辭了工作，
這樣...
雖然這都沒有發生，但是...我實在很不能苟同這種做事方法，
今天我信也寫過去了，電話也請人打了
星期一打算再打過去，
雖然再度翻盤希望不大，但是我一定會去吵吵看的！

記得日前好像是史丹佛還是柏克萊的法學院也是搞烏龍
所有的申請人都錄取了...
最後才發現是烏龍一場...

不過還是希望原po能拒理力爭...把事情講嚴重一點(ex.其他學校都拒絕不念了....)
看buffalo會不會有點良心...
當然若ub不是你的前幾志願...那就算了吧...

我剛才又打了一封信給他們負責亞洲區學生的人Christine Sneva，
措辭稍微強烈的告訴她我的狀況，並且說明事情的嚴重性，
還說是不是愚人節的爛玩笑？！！
希望他們能給我一個extreme explanation for what they did to me....
謝謝大家的意見，我會好好的爭取，今天在美加，每個助教也都很幫我的忙，再度跟助教們及這裡的各位謝過！
這種事情還是很難相信會發生在我身上！
不過都遇到了，只好硬著頭皮試著解決了！

Tell them that you've return the admission from other schools JUST because of SUNY-Buffalo's. There is no reason that THEIR MISTAKE can affect anyone's future plan. If it is JUST A MISTAKE, how can applicant tell which one is the real? If they don't give you a reasonable explanation, you are gonna file a law suit. I bet you will win in this case.
