難道是因為 recession在過去發生 而recession發生在前就以在害怕 所以才用had feared用以表示過去的過去

1.軟著陸"的基本經濟含義則是：國民經濟的運行經過一段過度擴張後，平穩地回落到適度 增長區間。

2.這段文章應該在講，股票市場的賺錢反應信心，這信心是經濟會避免(許多人先前所擔心的)衰退，而且經濟會以取而代之的軟著陸方式..→instead=取而代之

難道是因為 recession在過去發生 而recession發生在前就以在害怕 所以才用had feared用以表示過去的過去

←不是啦，had+Vpp，表示動作在過去的過去發生。應該是earlier in the year的關係，使得fear用過去分詞，其實我也會考慮用過去式，可是有過去式的E,錯的很明顯

我找了OG10 SC之後，並沒有找到類似的句子(即在沒有過去式動詞的狀況下：因表示過去的時間副詞，而出現之過去完成式 ...有點繞口)
或許小弟的搜尋範圍還不夠大，且功力仍弱；但我仍認為此句使用過去式 feared 較佳
當然啦，其它選項有明顯錯誤；A is still the best answer.
