Then why CEIBS? Not other Greater China region MBA?
1. It is located in SH, the only place I am interested in living in China.
2. It is taught in English, and globally ranked and accredited. At least Finanicial Times puts CEIBS in a good spot.
3. Its blue chip EMBA pool, which encompasses Chinese business elites, but so far I am not sure whether MBA students can levarage that resources effectively.
4. Its international exchange program, I still look forward to spend some time in prestigious B-schools in US or Europe. I think CEIBS has benefitted from emerging Chinese economy and its SH location, it has a long list of exchange programs. Including NYU, LBS, HEC, UCLA, etc. You have a good chance to exchange to these school for a term, which varies from 2 to 4 months. And best of all, it is within the CEIBS tuition, which is much affordable than most of the top business schools worldwide.
There are some other reasons too, but above explains most of my underlying analysis of my decision. Actually, CEIBS is the only school I applied, because the process is really too exhausting and I do not have that much passion for other schools. To show my committment, I flew to Shen Zhen for CEIBS info session and to SH for interview. It is also my personal due diligence to this school, since I don't know any persons there at that time, and I wanted to know if it worths the investment. I even lived in their campus before the interview and met some current MBA students during the trip.
As to my profile, my GMAT is 710, TOEFL is 270(Not mandatory for CEIBS, I took it in case I have to apply to other schools). And I have to say, 2 of my best friends who will go to HAAS and HEC this year have helped me a lot in the application prcess. They provided me valuable advice in terms of GMAT, essays and recommendation letters. Esp. essays, the torturing process of writing essays is also an important reason that I did not apply to other B-schools. Actually, one of them told me about Chase Dream, and the other brought me here to the coffee shop. Every one's life is really tightly knitted, isn't it?
Some experiece sharing, welcome any thoughts.
