向ETS爭取加開CBT場次的消息~

台灣目前仍沒有任何六月IBT or CBT的消息,但韓國卻已經加開六月的CBT場次,ETS獨厚韓國實在太無道理並枉顧亞洲其國家學生權益,前天寫一封信向ETS爭取加開CBT,信件內容請參見

但ETS回信仍是一派官方說詞(見下述),大家應反應出我們的不滿(或許是韓國人強烈的民族意識才逼迫ETS加開的吧),請ETS正視該問題~

Dear Students from Taiwan,

Regarding your inquiry:

We no yet know when iBT will be implemented in Taiwan. In the meantime, to
register for a CBT TOEFL test in Taiwan:

The Prometric Candidate Services Call Center will schedule an appointment by
telephone, fax, or mail. To register by phone call 886-2-8194-0200. Please be
sure to have your credit card number and expiration date (MasterCard, VISA or
American Express) or a CBT voucher number available at the time of your call.

When you call, you will be given an appointment confirmation number, test date,
reporting time, and test center address. Be sure to write down your appointment
number because you will not receive a letter with this information. You will
also be told what identification document(s) you must take with you to the test
center.

To register by fax or mail you must complete the International Test Scheduling
Form in the center of the Bulletin. You may fax your form to 886-2-2363-8840
(be sure to include credit card information or CBT voucher number) or mail
(enclose appropriate payment) it to:

根本答非所問。講一堆廢話。
考生跟他們反應位置不夠和Korea能夠加開，為何台灣不可?
結果ETS根本沒回答問題。

我剛剛打給ETS給他請求加開考場
結果他說 加開考場不是ETS能夠決定
而是台灣自己的考場決定是否加開考場
也就是才台灣的財團法人語言測驗中心決定台灣是否要加開考場
我在想 是否因為台灣的考場不夠大 所以語言測驗中心才不加開考場
或者是它有其他理由

韓國五月底開始IBT 而CBT延到六月
同樣 台灣的CBT也有充分理由延到六甚至七月

能夠在台灣加開六七月CBT
是能讓最多人受惠的了
畢竟各位都花很多功夫準備CBT 就把它考起來吧

口語,去美國後練習的機會多的是,
無須為了IBT而在短時間強練口語 那沒多大意義.

(明天就要考試了 不停留太久
考完在跟大家討論爭取六七月台灣CBT的辦法)

對阿!!
像托福這種東西
又不是每個人準備個2個禮拜
就都可以考到好成績的
我相信這一段時間
已經消化掉很多人(我的意思是說很多人都開始準備去考IBT)
但其實如果真的再多加開個1.2個月
應該就可以把要考IBT的人數全部消化掉了
再加上台灣也都真的沒位子
真希望可以加開6月就好了

Dear Test Taker,

Thank you for your inquiry.

Please be advised that the TOEFL iBT will be administered in
Taichung at the National Chung Hsing University. The first
administration will be on May 20, 2006. The TOEFL iBT will be
administered in Kaohsiung at the Cosmos Language School on
June 17, 2006.

New information related to the TOEFL iBT rollout, including new
test centers, additional seats, or additional test dates, will be
provided every Friday by 4 p.m. (New York time). Test takers
should check this list before registering to determine whether
TOEFL iBT will be administered in their area. Because test
centers fill up quickly, test takers should register as early as
possible to ensure their preferred date and location. They
should also check the TOEFL iBT online registration system
https://toefl-registration.ets.org/TOEF ... nPrompt.do
because additional test centers are added daily to the testing
network.

You may be interested to learn that the TOEFL iBT Reading and
Listening sections are not dramatically different from those on
the current computer-based (CBT) TOEFL test. The integrated
tasks on the TOEFL iBT Speaking and Writing sections may be
considered more challenging because they are new to test
takers.

Sample questions for the Reading, Listening, Speaking, and
Writing sections of the Internet-based TOEFL test like the ones
you will be presented with at the test center are available on

You can register to take the TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT)

A valid credit card is required to register online (American
Express, Discover, JCB, MasterCard, or VISA), or you may use
an electronic check (e-check) if you have a bank account in
the United States or its territories.

By Phone Call the Regional Registration Center (RRC) that
services the country in which you plan to test. Contact
information is in the Information and Registration Bulletin for
TOEFL Internet-based testing and on the TOEFL Web site at

By Mail Complete the registration form in the Information and
Registration Bulletin for TOEFL Internet-based testing. Mailing
instructions are on the form. The registration form can also be

request a printed copy of the Bulletin in the Learners and Test
