看大家這樣講, 好像的確是C

可是我老看C有各地方不順眼, 就是strong 是形容詞還是名詞阿???
continue有接形容詞的用法嗎???
我查大全還有字典只看到continue加名詞和 to V 等等
就是沒看到他加這樣的形容詞.....

還是我哪裡觀念有錯, 麻煩請指正,謝謝!

其實偷偷講.....我也是選A....

不過我覺得這題題目不嚴謹.....應該屬於測試題吧.....

我的想法是
continue是可加adj的
理由是由continue being strong省略而來

In our opinion, the answer should be A. D is good only if a "will" is added at the end of the answer 'cause it's the Federal Reserve that will increase the interest rate, not the analysts. For C, "continue strong" is just awkward, period. That's the conclusion we reach after I consult with two of my collegues in the PhD program and my professor.

Awkward means people just don't say that even though it might be grammatically correct. Try google for "continued strength" and "continue strong", you might realize that the phrase incorporating "continue strong" will have a noun after it. eg. continue strong growth, continue strong output. In fact, it might be helpful to try to google every phrase with which you have doubts in a CR question and find out the common usage of that phrase. You might not be able to "solve" a CR question 'cause the correctness of a English sentence is not by induction but by majority voting. If the majority of people speak English in a particular way, you can't argue about it.

這題大家都沒意見嗎??
我覺得 Richard講的有道理
不過站在ETS的立場,他考predict的成分比continue strong的成分還要來的重...
另外C選項有個would剛好可以跟predict搭配,畢竟預測不是百分百事實
所以我選C
再討論囉

誰說and because不能連用，and 是連結詞沒錯，但我寧願把because看成引導一個子句的作用，類似that，既然that.....,and that....是可接受的，and because就沒什麼好驚訝的

雖然我也是選c啦...
理由是莫老說過正式英語due to 前要有beV...

但我想大家找到OG上的and because的用法...
其實是beacause....and because的平衡...
(連接兩個連接詞要用and...)
並不是像原題的單獨and because用法...
所以這題可能還是有點小瑕疵...

我想請問一下predict的用法
前面談到有兩種predict that S+will...; predicted that S+would
請問時態一定要這樣搭配嗎?
若是在之前預測,但尚未發生...可以用predicted that S+will...+未來時間
舉例:我在10月時預測天氣會在12月變冷,以下哪個文法時態對(假設目前11月)
(1)I predicted that the weather in December will be colder.
(2)I predicted that the weather in December would be colder.
