[問題]請問有人有遇過這樣的admission嗎

各位大大好
事情是這樣的
小弟一個月前接到學校的admission
不過是provisional admission
理由是小弟的TOEFL太低
只有227
於是小弟重考了TOEFL
也打電話去學校問是否可以因為新成績達到標準就更新入學許可
學校也告知沒問題
結果今天我收到學校的updated admission letter
內容卻是這樣的
It is a pleasure to offer you admission to the Graduate School of Binghamton University as a provisional student in the School of Management, effective Fall 2006. We are confident that you will find this university an excellent place to pursue your academic goals.

Applicants are admitted provisionally when an important credential is missing from their application file, or when the department questions some aspect of a student's academic background or preparation. In either case, you will be considered for regular degree status after one semester. Please note that with receipt of your TOEFL test scores taken on May 17, 2006, you are no longer required to take the ESL course. However, the other condition of your admission will still apply.

是的
還是provisional admission
小弟實在有點哭笑不得
感覺像是過了一關又一關
而且也不知道明確的原因

想請問各位大大有遇過這樣的情形嗎
小弟會不會去了一學期就被學校給踢出來阿

這我之前也遇過
某家學校發admission給我
卻告訴我 我是在一個probation的狀態
我寄信寄了n封 問清楚之後發現
這和正式的admission沒差多少

像我這所呀
他說我是probation
字面意思 應該是 觀察生、留校查看生
我問了半天 說我這樣和正常的admission有何不同
他說 基本上沒什麼不同
只要我第一學期的gpa在3以上 就會脫離這個狀態
而第一學期gpa在3以下 就會被with draw
但是with draw有一次reaction的機會
而reaction 應該是復學的意思
復學之後 gpa又低於3 就會正式被開除學籍

也就是 根本很難被退學或被怎樣啦
如果是好學校 就去讀吧
