davidlee0222 \$m[1]:
An alternative explanation(主因出現-全文主旨) is defense
from predation(原來是要防衛-二段可以不用看太細,快掃~但建議take note). Black bear cubs use
trees for defense, whereas brown bears
(30) and polar bears, which regularly inhabit
treeless environments
, rely on aggres-
sion to protect their cubs(take note:1.
Like brown
bears and polar bears (看哪裡像,後括號直接跳過)(and unlike other
myrmecophagous mammals, which are
(35) noted for their passivity), sloth bears
are easily provoked to aggression(S雄也會衝過去拼了,瞄一下跳過啥?M是粉懶).
Sloth bears also have relatively large
canine teeth(有大C牙),(句子結構已結束,後關代補述可快掃) which appear to be more
functional for fighting than for foraging(果然是廢話).
(40) Like brown bears and polar bears,(又像這兩隻,反應九成會考)
sloth bears may have evolved in an
environment with few trees
They are
especially attracted to food-rich
grasslands(本句算廢話); although(看到分號+"雖然"要應該是承接上文-看有沒有蛇麼不同) few grasslands
(45) persist today on the Indian subcontinent,
this type of habitat was once wide-
spread there(完全是廢話). Grasslands support
high densities of tigers(挖~3.
sometimes kill sloth bears; (分號再承接其他因)sloth bears
(50) also coexist with and have been killed
by tree-climbing leopards(4.跟爬樹的L共生又被掛掉), and are often
confronted and chased by rhinoceroses
and elephants(5.還有R跟大象,不知如何要看補述), which can topple trees.(原來會把樹topple)
Collectively(列舉地) these factors probably
(55) selected against(不選xx) tree-climbing as a
defensive strategy for sloth bear cubs.(不用樹防衛)
Because sloth bears are smaller than
brown and polar bears and are under
greater threat from dangerous animals,
(60) they may have adopted the extra pre-
caution of carrying their cubs(全文主軸-其實早在本段第一句就知道了,但要注意主角比棕雄跟北極熊小).
cub-carrying may also be adoptive for
myrmecophagous foraging, the behavior
of sloth bear cubs(2鬥號關代補述先跳), which climb on their
(65) mother’s back at the first sign of danger,
(跳到這兒-主要動辭"指出,顯示")suggests that predation was a key

Where do you want to go ?

Q12.
