小弟一點淺見
根據文義,是否應該是Bill Monroe`s repetory , views on musical collaborations, and vocal style才是inspiration?
如果使用was來做為S(Bill Monroe)的動詞,會讓人以為是Monroe才是inspiraion,造成confusing的狀況!?

(1) 其實這句的結構簡單,說穿了就是--不僅BM的repetory,views,and vocal style 影響了(influenced)後代artists,BM本身也鼓舞了(inspired)後代musicians.

(2) Xwere influential on Y 跟 X influenced Y,在老外的眼中,句意是不同的.
(3) 另外,最重要的,能用動辭就不要用形容詞和名詞,畢竟動詞比較夠力.
