==> B 的比較變成 incomes & earlier decades 相比.

C) couples in the United States now have two incomes, significantly more than in earlier decades.

==> C 的比較是 now & in earlier decades.
比較性質是對的.

D) couples in the United States now have two incomes, significantly more than earlier decades have.

==> D 變成 couples & earlier decades 相比較.

E) couples in the United States now have two incomes, significantly more than that in earlier decades.

==> E 中的that 無清楚指代對象.
( incomes & couples 皆是 plural )


所以A.B.C.D.E 裡只有C 比較上沒有問題~
