Sheila "continued working" after she had her baby.
working代表一件事情，且為持續性的事情。這樣說來，感覺他在生小孩時，還在工作，所以用 continue to

2.Most elderly people want to "continue living" at home for as long as they can.
living示為一件事，且為持續性的事，表示老人們本來就住在這，且將持續住在這。

Most elderly people want to "continue to live" at home for as long as they can.
這些老人們將住在家裡，表示他們之前不住在這。這樣說法與句意不合，所以用continue living。

這一題的話，應該要用continue playing，因為句子說明了，即使一再受傷，他也要持續play，表示他在受傷時，仍然還在play，不因為受傷而停止play.
