[問題] 推荐人不能找同事?

在看 Berkeley Haas 關於推荐信的網站,寫著:

Letters of recommendation from peer co-workers, someone you have supervised, or personal and family friends are inappropriate and can be detrimental to the review of your application.

因為現在這份工作才剛開始,真的無法跟老闆開口
原本是想說請同事寫的
現在真的不知該怎麼辦....
有什麼好建議嗎?

maybe you can consider people outside your company, who are obviously senior than you
If you are in a function which allows you to contact other parties, let's say you are a vendor account manager, you can have your vendor recommend you
If you are an auditor, have the accounting manager of your client recommend you.

以前的主管、以前的同事（現在升上主管了，以現任主管的身份來評價您過去共事時的表現）、對外合作的單位，加上sophiechen大所說的客戶，應該是可能變通的途徑了。

To be hnest, it is not a very good idea that inviting your colleagues to be your recommenders. If you can someone who supervised you or taught for a long term period, ask him or her to give you a hand.

However, if you can't find proper guys to be the recommenders. I think it is still fine with your decision that inviting your colleagues to do the job. Berkley is the one I know that pays much attention and take it seriously to your recommender selection and the response of recommenders. But for other schools, recommender is just one parts of your entire application material.

我還在想說有些學校可以多給一封,就給現在公司的同事~ 不然都沒有現在工作的backup
