小弟 10月中去美國唸語言學校
會趕著出去的原因是剛好在紐約有一份工作 不是台面上的(所以不能算可以累積工作經驗) 但足夠負擔我在紐約的生活費,房租,及語言學校的費用(為了申請F1)
是不是直街在當地申請會比較麻煩? 中英成績單彌封,中英畢業證書,一些相關證明文件會直接帶去美國,推薦信在由教授從台灣寄出 12/22在紐約當地考GMAT 這樣申請2007秋季班來的急嗎(第二輪)? 除了以上的要件先行準備好外,在美國直接申請學校方面還有哪要注意的以免到時人在國外資料還缺東缺西的

托福明天考,若成績不理想會在美國考一次ibt

以下是我的背景請問AT跟托福至少要考多少分才有機會申請到前100名的商學院嗎?

某不知名大學國企系畢業
GPA 4.0 系上排名第一名畢業
當過2年的系學會會長,1年班代,擔任過2003年GOLF亞洲公開賽的義工...
入選參加過全國的英日文演講比賽,但卻沒得名^^"
工作經驗一年(不知名的小企業的貿易職員)

TOEFL可以直接到各學校的網頁去看他們的requirement
每些學校要求的都不一樣相同 印象中一些so-called top B-schools都要求cbt 250以上

GMAT雖然不像TOEFL是一個定死的門檻
各校也都強調沒有非要多少才能進去
不過如果不希望自己的application因為gmat這項有弱點
聽過一些人建議不要低過80%的range

所以
問題會回到你想選哪些學校囉 :)

For the top 20 B-schools, you need the Gmt above 690. Your GPA and the leadership look good. But, you need to work on how to make up your working experience, which is more important than the Gmt score.
You should be now concentrating on researching schools – I mean the detail if you wish to apply for the second round. Visiting the schools you like to make sure your decision is good for your next 2 years. To schedule an interview with schools while you’re in states (most of top schools don’t say but really demand an interview with student. They need to see you in person to make sure you’re the one for them.)
Remember, the scores and your GPA are only the basic requirement for applying school. Your resume and assays are the keys to bring in the success and to compete with other applicants. No matter how well your English is, you should know how to start your story and to impress readers. You should have your assays prepared very well.

for top 100, AT 580 and Toefl 220 is enough, but for author's background, there could be higher targets for consistency.

自從當玩兵後頭腦整個就變鈍了,自信心也完全瓦解

聽說當兵年限可以納入工作經驗中,這是真的嗎?
還是要一一寫信去問想申請的學校?

當兵的經驗是可以納入工作經驗之中
不過，當兵的經驗是要有「特別的點」，這樣比較有用
好比說，當兵的時候從阿兵哥升士官，當兵時有什麼很特別的經驗..等等
這樣這種「工作經驗」才有價值
如果只是拿來充工作經驗的總年數，結果在essay中完全沒有提到
那，我想應該會被扣分吧，或是會留下負面的觀感。

舉例來說，某人工作經驗3年，當兵佔了1.5年，結果完全沒有提及當兵這段時間有得到什麼東西。我個人覺得，這樣的工作經驗跟沒有沒兩樣。
