Having interview with school and writing application are two main sources for schools to find out whether you fit or not. There is a student asking a question of the differences between essay, resume, and personal statement, and I think it may benefit you in some degree.

However, you have to convince admission for your leadership, ability, networking skill, and your thinking of the future career (can be changed when getting in school, but has to be cleared one direction while your are applying)
Aware of your story making, it’s the key to show your personality, skill, ability, and strengths.
Resume – is again for the leadership skill, and what you did in the past. It’s equally important to clear your background and who you are, and where you are in the career path.
Personal statement – is a good chance for you to add any additional information you’d like reader to know. It’s could be for example one, wants to do finance in the future, never took accounting or e-count at college but taking many of this courses at this moment and having very good grade to show off….. . Or, one failed one particular course and try to explain why…
Good luck
