忽略了Whales originated in the freshwater lakes and rivers "of ancient Asia" 答案看來是A沒錯 因為游不了那麼遠跨過海洋到其他大陸～

我如何都不能理解這一題,

證據1:鯨魚起源於600萬年前亞洲的淡水區
證據2:500萬年前鯨魚才發展出一種可以喝鹹水的腰子
證據3:雖然化石證據顯示沒有那種腰子鯨魚會游到鹹水海域,這些鯨魚還是得游回淡水區喝水

問題:可以導出什麼結論?

A.被茫茫大海與亞洲阻隔的大陸,無法找到500~600萬年前的鯨魚化石(正解,因為那時候鯨魚腰子不好,還必須常常回淡水喝水)
B.500萬年前之後的鯨魚化石中,並沒有鯨魚只喝淡水(題目沒說有沒有,跨大範圍錯誤推論....不過我一開始也被騙了)

A. 應該解釋成, 有一塊大陸被一大片海洋隔開而距離亞洲大陸很遠, 鯨魚化石在sixty million(6000萬年前) ~ fifty million(5000萬年前), 你是找不著化石的, 因為1000萬年左右時, 鯨魚才發展出kidneys, 可以在海水中長期待著, 5000~6000萬年之間尚不行, 所以不可能跨越wide expanses of ocean, 所以在另外一個遠離亞洲的大陸地區的河流與湖泊, 你是找不到化石的, 因為Whales根本游不了這樣遠跑到那邊去(originated in the freshwater rivers and lakes of ancient Asian)。
