小妹最近開始寫essay 想趕明年秋季班第一輪的申請
不知道有關essay的部分可不可以在這裡問問題...

Darden有一題是問說要寫自己的各項經驗什麼的如何加強其他在Darden的學生.

我的問題是她們有期待看到什麼樣的東西媽?還是只要寫出自己的背景經驗就好?重點是要放在我可以對她們造成的影響,還是我自己的觀點等等?

原文的題目如下

Each of our applicants is unique. Describe how your background, values,activities,and/or leadership skiils will enhance the experience of other Darden students.

Never try to guess what is MBA School's favorite answer. Try
to link your experience and the specialty of Darden to stand

Just like what it mentioned, every applicant is unique.
You need to throughly understand your own position and resources as well as your characteristics and traits, then use them wisely to maximize your unique value.
For no matter building your career or applying B-school, first you need to know your value, accomplishments, core competence, and leadership, then find out how you apply those to contribute to the communities.

In this essay, Darden already gives applicants a hint that you can demostrate your unique value and leadership skills by your background and activities.

First, show how you achieved goals before and rethink throughly about which skills and traits did you use to achieve them.

Second, why these skills and traits are important to others, and how you can contribute as well as influnce your future classmates.

while it seems to be an easy question to answer but the problem is that none of us really know ourselves that well. Also, there are many attributes that make you desired by top b schoool, but it is hard to know which ones. key is to demonstrate your fit yet also differenciate yourself. Fit is easier, leadership, achievements, and good work experiences. unique part is harder since it varies much and really depends on the person but it usually follows a formula and the result is: once people read what's written about you, they will say, "ah, an interesting person", which in turn leave an impression of you in their minds. ie. if i told you that i have eaten the apples of 34 different regions of 12 countries since i am crazy about finding and trying good apples, will you remember me as the "apple person"? it might sound odd, but underneath, you know i have a passion and i try to hard to pursue my passion. admission at b school like passionate people.

i recommend that you start talking to your family and friends, ask them about what make you special and interesting. you will be surprised to find out what you hear.
