年是要用In 但前面的return 又困擾我

1.這個句子的結構是屬於否定字眼在前面的倒裝句還是x do as y do。若是屬於倒裝句，它的原始面貌為何？
2.of及in的用法好像還是無解，還麻煩請知道的大大幫忙，謝謝阿

我覺得這個解釋很好，也沒有比較不同的問題，因為看完句意可以發現是要比較"Hally's Comet"跟"哈雷1910-1911那次的出現"比較，而且這題五個答案都是its returns，所以更可以確定不會有比較不同類的問題。

OG11有一篇閱讀有講到哈雷衛星，我們可以知道他每年都會靠近地球一次，所以這個背景知識也就不需要交代。

另外我也完全同意James在句型上也解釋，前面是倒裝，後面是用did來代替舊訊息，最簡單而且清楚地表達句意。 其他幾個選項都比較有問題，時態有問題。

我也支持A , 這個did是一定要加的 , 因為cause是及物動詞 , 如果不加did會使得its return變成cause的受詞=> distortion

1.若否定副詞放句首倒裝,則as之後是不是同時也要倒裝?
2.這裡in和of到底有沒有差別,而這用in是不是因為in no other historical sighting才用in?

1. GMAT 的句子非常強調對稱性,即使文法上 as 子句的倒裝和前面無關,"對稱"會是較佳選項.

2. in vs of 純粹視句意的需要; 在哪一年份用 in (of 表示所有格, Halley’s return 邏輯上不屬於 1910-1911 所有).

for this question, i also agree to choose E.
first, as + S + V
but here, V is did, which is the old information, therefore we delete it. so i think E is the best answer.
