我想請問的是(C)選項的OG解釋

OG--> This sentence suggests that a physician first detects heartbeats and then uses the device.

我有點不了解的是
為什麼會有先後的句意產生呢

那(E)就沒有嗎

因此呢, 必須由句意判斷誰先誰後!

很明顯的, 是先使用儀器　才可以　偵測

這題當然可以用句意來選到正確答案E

我想請教大家什麼情況獨立分詞和主句會有先後順序上的不同?
我的印象都是分詞片語是修飾形容主句的狀態或是伴隨的結果....熊熊看到這題害我眼睛稍微脫窗了一下@@

大部分時候選分詞都是依句意來判斷伴隨的狀況或表因果關係

我對選項(B)的OG11th解釋有個小疑問

11thOG解釋:(B)The modifying phrase has no referent．
這樣不就表示,沒有被修飾的名詞?

但是10th的解釋是Choice A presents a dangling modifier. The phrase beginning the sentence has no noun that it can logically modify and hence cannot fit anywhere in the sentence and make sense. Coming first, it modifies heartbeats, the nearest free noun in the main clause; that is, choice A says that the heartbeats are using the Doppler ultrasound device. Choice B contains the same main clause and dangling modifier, now at the end.
這樣不是說修飾語像(A)一樣誤指到fatal heartbeats上嗎?

這種脫節的句型如照11th的說法的話,修飾語就不能放句尾了嗎?

其實我看了半天還是沒有看懂樓上要問的意思，上面的解釋應該沒有談到修飾語該不該放句尾的問題吧!
A, B錯的道理是一樣的。

喔喔 簡單的說 我想問這句話

11thOG解釋:(B)The modifying phrase has no referent．

因為照10thOG的解釋應該會指到heartbeat上,但是修飾錯誤
而11thOG的解釋不會指到任何東西上( has no referent)
兩版的解釋好像有點不太一樣出現了差異

所以才會有這修飾語該不該放句尾的問題?

no referent 理解為"沒有合理的指代";從修飾前一句的觀點, using... 的句意和前面那句沒有關聯.
