A string of 10 lightbulds is wired in such a way that if any individual lightbuld fails, the entire string fails. If for each individual lightbuld the probability of failing during time period T is 0.06, what is the probability that the string of lightbuld will fail during time period T?

A.0.06
B.(0.06)^10
C.1-(0.06)^10
D.(0.94)^10
E.1-(0.94)^10

可是我想不透耶~

我會想是0.6
因為一個小燈泡壞整條的燈就不亮
這樣的話整條不亮的機率就是0.06(一顆小燈泡壞的機率)*10顆小燈泡

這樣的想法哪裡不對呢?

這題我是用反推去做的。要注意題目給的條件是有個小燈泡不亮，整條就不亮了。
所以是1減掉沒有小燈泡壞的情形
答案:1-(0.94)^10

題目的問法同 "at least" 至少一個不亮就會導致全部不亮

所以是: 1-全亮的機率=1-(1-0.06)^10
