[問題] 救人喔(台)! 訪校行程應該如何安排?

剛好有機會去美國出差

不知可不可以請教如何安排整個訪校行程 (11/9 and beyond)...

I'm interested in visiting : Harvard, MIT, Dartmouth, Columbia, Kellog, and Chicago. My goal is to participate in live class, talk to student/prof, and get to know adm officer (if they are available).

My questions are :

1. 有什麼要特別注意的地方 to make the trip most effective...

I learn that:

Harvard - online appointment.
MIT - online appointment (use same system?!)
Tuck - online appointment
Kellog - no need for arrangement to attend class.
Columbia - no need for arrangement to attend class.
Chicago - online appointment.

2. What's the ideal length of time to take full advantage of visiting the school?

3. Do I need to drive or I can take any public transportation?

其實要看你要聽多少課
我在Wharton, Kellogg以及Chicago都是花一天
既然來了就多聽一點囉
有些地方晚上比較有點安全問題的話，最後一堂課就不要聽，早點回飯店囉
如果有拿到面試，那就以面試優先
週末大部分的學校沒有正式行程，除非你有朋友在那邊可以帶你逛
有些學校甚至週五就沒有參訪行程了
我幾乎都是用大眾交通工具
因為大部分的朋友在大城市裡都沒開車

看你住哪裡囉
我那時是住在Kellogg
所以我是先從那邊坐MRT
然後在市中心的loop換另一種火車
坐到59th street的樣子
記得跟opeman或其他朋友聯絡，到時問一下確實的下車車站
在Chicago GSB那邊最好不要下錯站

BTW,Chicago要先在網路上登記喔
Kellogg建議就順便interview吧
因為是required，所以只要part I submit了，
你記得選on campus，然後就跟學校說你剛好要去，所以就把時間約好

離Kellogg走路大約10~15分鐘
你住那裡的話我也可以跟你一起走路上學 哈

welcome to visit HBS!

從Boston機場坐silver line(bus)轉紅線到harvard square,
沿著JFK走路15分鐘就會到HBS campus,
prospective student要先到admission office(dilon house)報到
然後就可以來旁聽啦，如果可以先唸一下case就更好了。
(雖然我不知道ad office會不會發, u can check with them!)

紅線附近有比較便宜的旅館，一個晚上80-100美金左右，搭兩三站可到HBS，搭四五站可到MIT。

Finally I'll have time for three schools this time: HBS 11/16, Tuck 11/17 and 11/20 Columbia.

It's a crazy time I am running against the clock to complete 10 markets budget review besides preparing GMAT on 10/26!!!
