I just got my own used car on Tuesday(8/14), so I'd like to share my AutoCheck account with you guys.
I bought this AutoCheck Unlimited Plan about 2 weeks ago. Before the expiration day(Sep-30), you can check the detail information of any used cars through VIN #. The login account is my email: KevinChao@gmail.com
Here is the website: http://www.autocheck.com/ .
By the way, I briefly share how did I buy a used car.
First I picked up the cars with brand I'm interesting in(ex: Chevrolet, Ford...), then I went to http://www.carsdirect.com/ for searching. I just choosed 1-2 cars which price are close to my budget and the dealer's company is near my apartment(actually I rent a car from the airport for the first 2-3 days). Then check the pictures if I like it, and check if there are any problems through Autocheck. Sometime I compared the price from http://www.kbb.com/ .
On Monday, I went to see the first car and drove it, but I didn't like it. Tuesday I went to another dealer's company, and I'm lucky to get a good car with fair price. I bought the 2000 Ford Explorer.
The pirce of this car on CarsDirect is $3993, I only cut $50 down , but this car's condition is really pretty good. However, I finally paid $3953 + $599(Document Fee) + $325.94(%7.xx Tax of Georgia), total price is $4877.94, to dealer company. In addition, I paid $860 for basic car insurance from http://www.GEICO.com (I called GEICO from the dealer company). So I totally spent $5737.84.
Anyway, just share my experience. I hope these information can help anyone who needs a used car.
Regards,
Kevin
