Dear Prospective Applicants,

We are current students from Darden and we would like to invite you
to join us for afternoon tea to chat about Darden and business
school applications in general.

We want to make this gathering a relatively informal event for you
to talk to us freely- for us to tell you about our experience so far
and address any questions you may have. We’re also inviting Darden
alumni to join in the conversation.

Here are some details on the event:

Time: Saturday December 25th at 2pm

Place: To be advised (depends on the number of people attending)

Attire: Smart casual (you definitely don’t need to be in business
attire)

If you’d like to learn a bit more about Darden prior to our

investment and we’ve learned personally how important it is to
really determine whether each school we’re applying to is a good

Darden果如預期中展現其內斂而學術的氣息
Case study的嚴謹度也相當令人印象深刻

記得一個學長說Darden是在一個"有氣質"的地方，

聽完之後，印象最深的一個字就是"操"

雖然非常紮實每天３個case study，不過考慮到校友數，未來發展和自己喜歡

都市的個性，這個學校ㄟ.........自己可要再考慮是否fit!!

不過真的是一家很不錯的學校，可以很認真的學英文！

另外聽到agk99提到一個會計系學妹申請到chicago

覺得，如果有你想申請的學校，就去丟吧，很多時候也要看一些運氣的！！

由於留在美國玩樂，所以未能返台與各位聊天，若有任何問題，除了現場兩位同學外，也可與我聯絡，我的email是Wuc06@darden.virginia.edu。
現在人在紐約，與幾位nyu 及columbia的台灣學生都有接觸，真的覺得學校間的差異很大，決不單只是名次間的不同而已，希望各位能在申請前多多了解學校的文化，免得人到了美國才發現不是自已想要的東西，那就很慘了。

為了讓大家輕鬆一下，能在趕deadline之餘能稍微喘口氣，幻想一下以後在美生活的樣子，我將我這三個月來的照片公佈在這裡 photos.yahoo.com/chinghaowu，照片中看來是很輕鬆的樣子，但請各位注意這是2%的休閒生活的總成，剩下98%被case壓到快垮的樣子在這裡是看不到的。

還是那句老話，請各位多花點心思在了解學校間的差異上，這樣不只大大有助於你們的申請，也能幫助各位作出最正確的決定。

敬告各位，原本這家標榜是沒有上限的essay，事實上，其實還是有限制的
五題essay，每題5000個characters，大概只有七八百字吧

我是Bear帶進來的新手..
目前也在申請MBA

我想問一下
Darden是不是一定要先面試才能submit申請資料呢?

因為還在工作的關係，無法飛到美國面試，
看了Darden的網頁，似乎又沒有說可以主動約其它的面試方式。

能不能先subumit資料，再由學校提出面試邀請呢?

另外，這樣做錄取的機率會不會小很多?

Candidates who are not able to schedule an interview prior to applying or who prefer that the Admissions Committee review their application first, will be notified by Committee if an interview is necessary. Note that you cannot self-schedule an interview after the application has been submitted.

在Darden網站上看到這一句，似乎是application submitted後，就等學校面試邀請!!
自已不能initiate..

Darden非常重視面試，所以可能的話還是安排一個visit來面試會比較有利，當然，如果您的申請文件具有競爭力的話，屆時也會收到面試邀請，只要您能在面試時表現好，您申請上的機率並不會受到影響。
來美國才幾個月，但覺得美國人比我們還重視所謂的「見面三分情」，只要您能讓他們留下還不錯的印象，在做決定的時候，有見過面的還是會比沒見過面的有利。
