為什麼ｄ跟ｅ在OG的解釋裡用ａｎｄ連接就會跟power平行，我記得莫北北不是說merging....rather than splitting.........是從and merges........rather than splits變來的嗎？？如果還原的話，不考慮split錯的地方，and merges應該是與is平行吧？？

,and是平衡二個句子
and是平衡二個動詞　（依本題來說）
comma沒標底線，所以後面若加and一定要平衡二個句子
(C)(D)and後沒有主詞直接加動詞merges即違反此文法規則

根據句意merge 和 split 應該是nuclear fusion的動詞,

所以我覺得原句應該是:
Nuclear fusion is the force that powers the Sun, the stars, and hydrogen bombs, merges the nuclei of atoms and doesn't split them apart, as is done in nuclear reactors 即 S+V1~~~, V2~~, and V3~~~

但因為這樣寫會造成ambiguity,所以先把 and V3 改成 Ving, 變成S+V1~~~, V2 , V3ing

但會造成V2為流水句,故改成S+V1~~~, V2ing~~,V3ing.

至此V3ing又會變成流水句,故在前面加個對等連接詞,平衡v2 跟v3 .

這是我想出來的原句改法,不知道對不對.

還是有別種改法呢?? 感謝~

所以 (A) (B) (C) 和 (D) (E) 明顯分成兩群,意思不同.
