I've taken AT 4 times already and only got a 640. I think this score would probably place me in schools ranked around Top 25 - Top 40. However, my dad will only support me if I can get into a Top 20 program. So I am planning to take AT again at the end of January.

By the time I finish my AT, I will miss R2 deadlines. Should I just apply and then re-submit my AT if I do better? Or should I do R3?
Btw, I am not US citizen.

Here is my profile:

AT: 640
TOFEL: I am exempted as I have an American undergrad degree in Communications (but I still schedule a test in Jan coz my AT verbal is low)
GPA: 3.2 from a private US university
Working experience: 6 years in marketing and advertising.
Schools aiming: Cornell, Yale, Columbia, NYU

Reasons taking MBA: I want to polish my skills in other areas to make myself a well-rounded business leader because expertise in only one area is not enought to be a top managerial executive. Business decisions are complicated, and a good manager needs to consider cross-functionally in order to make the right move at the right time.

career path is quite consistent so far
but very sorry for the following frustration:
the motivation seems very vague that no specific goal or path is attempted, furthermore these schools are critical to scores even along with the higher than average experience.
also no clear relationship within school selection except ranking might be a warning sign.

Additional killing sign might be more about real life
6-yr experience but no reasoning except from parent may be critical to future career and independent thinking.

Of cource keep fighting for AT is currently the most economic strategy, but more concrete visioning will be the key that scores are only the basic but not sufficient criteria. Career logic is the core.
