SOPHIA﹕
其實我在看學校網站得時候就對這個ASIA TREK蠻有興趣的。 你可以談談你們在這個TRIP中的活動嗎﹖ 在這個TRIP後有多少人找到了工作機會呢﹖ 謝謝
Participants usually would have a very intense week meeting lots of i-banks and consulting firms. In my year, we had a banking track and a consulting one. You could choose to attend either or both. Stern career office also sent a representative to go with us.JOsweet \$m[1]:SOPHIA﹕

Banks tend to host more formal sessions, running you through their current presence in the region, their recruiting processes, bringing current employees from different divisions to chat w/ you, taking questions and so on. Some banks would even take you aside for an interview (most banks' internship application deadlines fall in early December. So oftentimes they already have a short list in hand when you meet them in early January). It's not like they won't give you an offer if you choose not to visit them in HK. At the end of the day, it's very much capability and personality-driven. But I still consider the trip very helpful. You get to have more real flavor of what a banking job in asia is like, to meet ppl who could be your future colleagues/bosses, to have on-spot interview opportunities to enhance your candidacy. I also think the hit rate is high. We had quite a lot ppl doing their internship in HK that summer.
BTW, you get to meet many alumni who work there. A pretty good opportunity to expand your network. And you'll have lots of fun to chill out w/ your fellow MBA classmates there. :)
