這是昨天收到kansas的信

Thank you for your application to our master's degree in counseling and student development. Before we make a decision, we want to make sure you know that you would not be able to be a school counselor in Kansas, because yo u do not have a teaching degree or full=time teaching experience. In Kansas, you must have taught at least two years before you can become a school counselor without teaching experience.

Knowing this information, do you still wish to be admitted to our program? PLease e-mail me at the address below.

這算是拒絕信嗎還是?

However, there are many other states in the US that allow you to be a school counselor without teaching experience.

我連入學資格都沒有

信上是說他們想要讓你知道以你的背景,就算你唸完他們的學位你也沒有辦法在Kansas州擔任teacher or school counselor,因為你並沒有取得當州所需要的條件(大學學教師教育以及最少兩年教學經驗,就是台灣的師範大學或學院啦).但其他州的條件不同,你如果以後打算留在美國找尋類似工作,得要到其他願意接受的州才行.這封信最後講到的是,在得知這樣的消息後,你還是願意他們考量你的申請書然後如果有進的話去唸他們的program嗎?

我想他們會這樣問你應該是很多學生都是當地人,唸完後就打算繼續在當州找工作.但因為Kansas的法律規定,你唸完後將無法在那州找工作,所以學校好心的先通知你,免得你去唸以後才發現這種情形,還算蠻人道的.他們是希望你回信讓他們知道你的意願,這樣他們好繼續作業.如果你純粹沒有工作考量只是想要唸這學位以後回台灣的話,就跟他們說你很想念他們的program,也願意接受他們的率取.(當然我不知道這是不是你的第一志願啦).反之益然.希望回答有所幫助.
