經過漫長的等待終於等到第一個Admission

終於可以放心了！！

先分享一下背景
GMAT 710 TOEFL 111 GAP3.65 NCU Major in English

WE 短短１７個月

在UF口試之前我爬了一下去年的口試題目

結果問到的一模一樣　　幾乎都照稿子唸了．．．．

嗯　但收到的信裡有一段不太懂

希望熱心人士可以解惑

"In addition to admission, we are also excited to be able to offer you a fantastic scholarship package. We are pleased to offer you a Graduate Assistantship (GA) position for the 2-year program. As a recipient of this GA package, you will receive the following:

- 36 credit hours of your tuition will be covered by the University of Florida

-You are responsible for the remaining tuition (12 hours) and fees (for 48 hours) - which will be converted to Florida in-state tuition rates (a greatly reduced rate and a huge cost savings to you!)

-You will work 10 hours per week as a Graduate Assistant during the fall and spring semesters each year (providing you with an additional $4,000 per academic year of stipend funding; totaling approximately $8,000 over the 2-year program)

This means that you will pay approximately $4,950 in tuition and fees for your Florida MBA. We will cover the remaining tuition costs and provide you with $8,000 in stipend dollars for your graduate assistantship work – an outstanding offer considering the total cost of tuition and fees without the GA would be approximately $43,900!＂

我知道是指我有獎學金的意思

但是說我整個ＭＢＡ只要付４９５０元而且還有８０００元的薪水嗎？

不敢相信有這麼好康的事!!是我誤會了嗎?

另外，有UF的校友可以share一下UF experience嗎 :)

Florida是我滿喜歡的地方所以很有可能去唸

tuition 跟 fee 似乎分開算
學校給你的獎學金應該是 cover tuition 的部分
所以你只要支付 12 credit hours
但fee的部分你自己還是要負擔48 credit hours
不過 12 credit hours(tuition)+48 credit hours(fee)=4950
還真是划算

根據信中的說法，你確實只要付$4950的費用在你的MBA program

(This means that you will pay approximately $4,950 in tuition and fees for your Florida MBA.)

然後，確實也還有額外的八千元薪水。

很妙的是，他竟然可以給你in-state tuition，一整個就是很令人羨慕的AD。

我也拿到admission了
不過沒有這麼誘人的獎學金@@"

我有同學在UF
聽說台灣人每屆MBA才兩三個呢

面試方面
我有被問到怪問題
而且是第一題:
"為何選擇政大唸undergraduate?"
害我囧了一下
不過其他都是正常題

我的背景
Undergraduate: 政大廣電系
AT: 690
T: 106
GPA: 3.81
WE: 2年傳播

我們兩個應該可以給跨領域申請者增加信心吧:P

恭喜! 恭喜!

看到兩位優秀的背景為何只鍾獨"UF"讓我相當不解!
當然UF是一間相當好的學校! (我有朋友是UF的校友但不是MBA)
但兩位優異的成績和經驗應該可以申請Top 30或Top 20的名校啊!
可以分享一下對UF的看法嗎?

嗯....目前決定好像有點太早....

因為我學校R2都還沒投完

可是至少一間上了之後的面試會更有信心呀

我有申請其他排名更好的學校

但Florida也是我很想上的學校之一

所以....等真的拿到其他學校offer再來煩惱吧

還有啊我是跨領域工作經驗又不多

拿到scholarship還真的很驚訝

算是給其他人很大的鼓勵吧 :laugh

我也拿到UF 的 Admission了! with $10,000的scholarship~
收到信的時候好開心呀!! 一個月的等待真的好折磨人

我的背景
NCU BA
GMAT :690
TOEFL:253
GPA : 3.12(好低)
W/E : 2 years

我還蠻喜歡UF的，如果沒有意外我應該會選擇UF
大家一起去UF作同學吧~
