我個人的意見是用be動詞來判斷，主詞they (Soaring television costs) have been "proportion"
= > Costs = proportion ??

我想這是最大的禁忌. 我也認為B不是那麼完美, 但至少他是可以被接受的.

a greater proportion than 邏輯上應該是proptorion與proportion作比較(1992年選舉的比例與先前選舉的比例)

我作題的思路是 a greater proportion than the proportion in any previous election.=>將proportion用it代替後成了A的答案 a greater proportion than it was in any previous election

檢討後認為B可能更好，因為than可以充當關係代名詞使用，即than直接代替proportion；這樣一來就比較同類了

以上思路有錯請教正。

如果像前面所說選項B的原句為
...a great propotion than soaring television costs accounted for half the spending in any previous elections.
畫線部分屬舊訊息省略,會變成是propotion比上costs 兩邊比較不同類

插句已經跟主要子句分開,所以比較對象應該優先考慮 proportion. 插句結構為一個名詞同位語,原則上沒有動詞的問題.
(A) 動詞出現只為時態,判斷時態可以用過去式,因此 the proportion (was) 應該省略.(不是同一個 proportion 應該不能用 it)
(C) 時態不對,動詞數量不一致.
