Education: NTU Dual BA in Economics, Japanese (GPA 3.1)
TOEFL iBT: 105 (R28, L27, S20, W30) <2006/7>
GMAT: 700 (V35, Q49, AWA3.0) <2004/8>
WE: ROC Army, Second Lieutenant Company Chief Counselor (1.5 years)
PwC Taiwan Senior Associate, IAS Tax Team (2.5 years)

Toronto 的 Location 是符合我的期待和需求的, 一方面是Finance Hub, 另方面 Rotman 的就業數據讓人覺得放心, 僱主集中於大多倫多區, 也比較有確定感 (相較於無論課程或未來就業都比較多元而不定的UW Seattle)。落地會先申請PR的application, 期待一切能順利。

Just to share my understanding about PR.

From your background, you should be eligible to apply PR now and will get the maple leaf card before enrollment. You can therefore get tuition reduction.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

According to my understanding, the average application time for PR at Taipei is 24+ months, which I couldn't rely on for visa purposes. Must apply for student permit first. Have read about many people's experiences on the web, and they usually get the PR within 18 months when they apply at the CIC Buffalo office after arriving in Canada, which hopefully can make one eligible for resident tuition in the 2nd year of study. Please let me know if you have anything else to share :)

I believe the wait for Taipei now is less than 12 months. Pretty sure about this as a few family friends have gone through this process all under 12 months.

24+ months is true for India & China.

Summary from my friend now in U of Toronto:

After applying PR, you may get a file number roughly in 3-4 months if everything is OK. Some departments will regard this file number as the proof of your PR identity and thus you can pay tuition of resident. Please do check with the program you apply to.
