不解為何此題答案不是(A) 而是 (E)?

1.跟first 無關 ,那是複合名詞 "The First National Bank" 類似 "第一銀行"之類的

2.plead
When someone charged with a crime pleads guilty or not guilty in a court of law, they officially state that they are guilty or not guilty of the crime.
Morris had pleaded guilty [highlight=violet]to [/highlight](alt+e)robbery.

這題莫北北有解過...
主要考兩個東東:
(1) 慣用語: plead quilty to(介)認罪 ----> ABC不選
(2) 麻煩字: fail in失敗 VS fail to 不能 ----> D不選

不過,對我來講,以這句的句意
用fail in 或fail to 實在粉難判斷耶...

其實這裡的不能翻的可能有點不太好...
原因是中文會以為是能力上的不能....
應該翻成"未能"會不會比較容易懂?
因為是有點過失的不能...
所以才需認罪嘛....

我覺得這題若翻失敗會變成比較沒那種認罪的感覺...
而且若是report失敗有點像是不是故意的就沒啥好認罪了...

還有一個規則可套用啦...(雖然不建議常用規則)
就是題目動詞答案名詞少選....
(D)的失敗變成名詞型了...
所以他變成要多加一個所有格its...
會變比較囉嗦...
不過我是覺得這題應該是看句意決定用fail to 的....
