Rochester vs Georgetown

最近收到了Rochester以及Georgetown的admission offer, 兩間學校我都很喜歡, 實在很難做決定啊....

Rochester的Finance似乎在排名上比 Georgetown高, 但是我又很喜歡Georgetown的Global integrative experience; location來說其實好像也都差不多, 離主要的大城市都滿近的...面試時兩所學校的interviewers給我的感覺也都很好, 不但親切, 而且可以感覺到他們都有很強的school spirits, 不管是Rochester或者是Georgetown我都好想去啊.

不知道有沒有人可以給我一點建議呢? 我的背景是2.5 years with Big Four in audit field, 1 year in accounting with a multinational insurance company, MBA的major打算讀Corporate Finance. 我比較主要的concern會是internship&career after graduation, 以及學校同學之間的互動....

Both school's MBAs have good prospects on finding corporate finance jobs. However, in case you want to keep your options open (to other fields such as banking,) Georgetown may have a clear edge in terms of alumni network. Therefore, the decision may depend partly on how certain you are of your career path.

I got their admission in the last two weeks. Had interviews with these two schools at the end of february/beginning of March. Hope this helps.

and Thanks to Beegeez2 and Ipwpete. I'd like to pursue a career in consulting field after graduation, the Georgetown alumni I interviewed with actually told me that there are quite a lot of smaller size consulting firms in DC area so there are many chances to get a job there, even if i cant get into the big firms. As for Rochester, it seems to be quite close to major cities e.g., NYC. So I guess the location doesnt seem to matter much when deciding between these two schools... but well..guess I need to think really hard before making my final decision. Thanks anyway!

不過說到大的, Booz Allen Hamilton在DC地區的office聽說雇了不少GU MBA的學生
這部分可能需要請現在就讀或畢業生來證明

Rochester是真的在財金部份比較強
在NYC我碰到Rochester畢業的台灣人,應該有2/3以上都是做finance相關的工作吧
