Just admitted by IESE! Interviewed on 4/12 and received the admission within 48 hours!
Being waitlisted by USC and Cornell really depressed me for the past month. Although I am fully aware that my low GMAT score was the key for the waitlist, I was still disappointed.
HOWEVER, the IESE offer cheers me up!!!!! Now I start to believe that the "total package" matters!
So for those who did not do well on GMAT, BE POSITIVE! Work on your essays and interview, and you will have a chance!
A little bit of my background:
GMAT: 5 attempts, from 600 (Q high 30s V 30) to 550 (dont remember) to 620 (Q46 V 27) to 640 (Q49, V 28) to 600 (Q 33, V 38). My scores are actually awkward - I kept retrying becasue my low verbals. During the interview I was asked that why my scores seemed so inconsistent, and I did my best to answer this question.
TOEFL: waived.
Undergrad GPA: 3.23 from an American college
Working experience:6+ years in advertising and marketing
