這題應該是考麻煩字specially, especially, capability, ability
1.我查了字典, specially是表有特殊目的的特別,ex:specially trained police dogs後面常接動詞, 而especially是表強調不同點或程度的的特別ex:especially in winter, especially fond of

2.ability:someone's level of skill at doing something感覺是指人
capability:the natural ability, skill, or power that makes a machine, person, or organization able to do something, especially something difficult 感覺指非人

但是(a)雖然用especially好像正確,但respiratory system’s ability無生物的所有格用N's加上ability感覺沒有capability好,一開始我就把(a)刪了@@

ability 和 capability 都是能力,差別在於前者要用力,後者不要用力.
呼吸要用力,所以用 ability.

(E) because of 介係詞片語裡還有片語,負擔太沉重; specially 意改變句意. 不選.
(A) because 引導連接詞子句,表達完整的句子.
