在Sloan有堂課叫 G-Lab
在二年級上學期的時候修課 並且在寒假時去幫世界各地的公司做Consulting Project
性質類似Michigan的MAP 只是他們是在學期中 我們是在寒假
教學方法是50% Lecture + 50% Case
也有一些屬於100% Case的課
課程特色你大概能在上述連結中看到
另外在選課方面只有第一學期是必修課
從第二學期起就可以自由選修
所以自由度相當高 也讓學生有更多的空間揮灑
這點我是十分肯定的
Career Service 上次沒提 這次做個補充
在Sloan裡 Career Development Office的人都非常NICE
常規的Resume/Cover letter review就不提了
每個班(一班60人)會有專人負責
除了正式的定期Seminar 你有問題也可隨時約時間與他們討論
由於學生人數少 服務的品質的確是有保證的
我想可以這麼說 在Sloan沒有所謂國際學生的問題 在她們眼裡都是Sloan students
唯一不同的我想只有Company policy的問題 取決於她們是否願意收國際學生
而Community的感覺
也正由於人數較少 整體凝聚的感覺是很強的
也正因此 Teamwork風氣非常好 而同學們互助的情況也隨處可見
我想這是我對Sloan Community最大的感覺

For your climbing shoes story, here are my thoughts:
When applying for the school, you can always submit some supplemental material as long as it is "revelant" to your application package. In this sense, I don't think the applicant you mentioned was accepted merely because of the shoes-sending action, but because of his whole application package. From whom I know at Sloan, nobody sent any supplemental material during their application period.
Therefore, essay, should still be the most important part you focus on. Be sure to respond those basic questions well.
