profits 應該很清楚是 expected 的受詞(舊資訊),所以不必再寫出來; 寫出來會讀者嚇一跳,以為有什麼新鮮事要注意了 (i.e. them =? = profits? = analysts?)
to decline 要省就一起省略,不可以留一個孤兒.

想問一下為什麼要用would呢

用would 表是對未來事件的假設語氣...還沒有100%確定會發生不敢用will.....

第一個 it 有大問題 如果是代替原主詞套回去the company would要指哪個動作? announced ?不可能吧
想套成 it would declined 也不行 the company不會declined
有declined這個動作的主詞是its profits 為複數

i.e. ... announced (過去式) that its profits declined (過去式) ... and its business would (過去式) ...
announced 只會發生在一個時間
