(D) 裡的 they = plants, 多數沒有說數量需假定 > 3; the other 表示只有兩個 plants

表達為 one another 時, another (pron.) 說明 one (pron.) 為"彼此". i.e. one (一個) = another (另外一個) 就是"彼此"啦!
表達為 another one 時, another (adj.) 形容 one (pron.) 為"另外一個".

where 修飾'地方', way(方式) 不是一個地點,所以不能用 where.
