你覺得 A E 兩個句意是不是不同呢?
所以問題不是出在文法
而是句意改變囉:
crests and troughs that remain stationary although ... 是表示在although子句帶出來的狀況下 他們還是remain stationary 並不是他們一直都 stationary
可是 stationary crests and troughs 就表示 crests adn troughs 是 stationary

ㄛ..兩個句意整體來看是不一樣的
因為although修飾的對象不同了
C 是修飾 that remain stationary 中的 remain
D E 就變成去修飾被省略掉的 be 動詞

另一方面 a happy boy 和 a boy who remains happy
我個人覺得意思是有出入的 :P

那這樣

(E) 有個明顯的文法錯誤:連接詞必須連接兩個句子. i.e. although 沒有主要子句.

經過一個多月回來這一題還是一樣困惑，
其實樓上講的我還是覺得怪怪的，C選也不是兩個子句的連接阿！
做了些題目後，我是覺得好像被動選項常都會被刪掉，尤其是那種xxxx by xxxx的，
可是我看到其他案例，被動的選項都比較長阿，這題是我看到主動的句子比被動句子還常很多的，
真叫我難以抉擇？！簡潔or主動?
