我也贊成giraffe的說法,
另外, allow 後面加that, 用重新引導一個子句, 等於又得有一個新的"動詞"出現,也會讓句子變得不簡潔! 有些akward...
相對的, allows it to v...就乾淨簡單多了!

我記得老莫上課有說過沒有allow that這種慣用法...
只有allow sb. to.........這種用法
OG11版也是這麼寫的，詳見11版紫本修辭86題C.E選項的解釋

但，老莫也曾經說過"題目有助動詞(can)，答案沒有則視為改變句意"

我最後還是選e啦，因為allow加that實在選不下去，

做對了 但也浪費了不少時間在掙扎...

考試技巧不能盡信阿!!!

我覺得用「and so兩個連接詞 不能連用」這個點來判斷好像不是很好

根據longman online dictionary:
so(adv):
and so 表示and therefore:
ex: Madeira has an ideal climate, and so it is not surprising that it has become a tourist paradise.


所以個人覺得要刪掉(D)還是用allow後面不可接that子句這招比較好
