才開始檢討第一題就遇上問題了

這一題cd給的答案是e
我在做題的時候就一直在ce之中掙扎
濉然選了e,心中依舊十分疑惑
麻煩各位大大解答一下

關於c, 我覺得後面用they did 是否有些不簡潔呢
而且when they did 是不是應該要加個did "so"呢
但是e, 前面用for 似乎怪怪的,感覺用(c)的to比較合理

請問B哪裡不好?
我覺得用C的 to determine是不錯,不過後面的句子就遜掉了
B跟E的開頭都不太好~ 是因為B用被動嗎?

B的clues in the determination好像跟原本的意思不太一樣
而且後面用被動不簡潔

我這題看到clue之後找到to就直接選了
不過C後半段的確是不太好.....
請教一下大家OG裡面有哪一題是用 for Ving表目的的嗎？
如果沒有的話我應該還是不敢選E這種答案吧

我是選C 也是因為看到to 但現在想想覺得E比較好
C 的 they不佳

至於介詞for
莫老師上課有補充過
表目的時
N + for + VING (for前方需為名詞，否則用 to+V)
EX: A machine for washing clothes is a washing machine.

~非N +for + N (for前方非名詞，則後方加名詞為慣用)
EX:He came back for dinner.

可參考OG29題

只是不知道clue+to 是不是慣用

請問這個 sbdy不限定在人而已,是嗎?

provide sthg for "determining...."

即使是for "決定@#$" 的事件上也可以嗎??

主詞 discovery 不能做動作, to+V 無法限定動作的"人",所以選 for
