(A) 和 (B) 的差別在
(A) 是一個句子 "Lincoln knew how to use a good story to generate good will." 豆號中間是插句(補充說明,不重要), 而
(B) 是兩個句子合成的分詞構句,兩句缺一不可
1. "Lincoln knew how to use a good story to generate good will."
2. "Lincoln discovered in young manhood the secret that the Yankee peddler has learned before him"
that 子句 是 secret 的同位語;
before him 在他面前? (如果是在他之前,應該是 before he does)
不知這題的時空背景為何,不太懂第二句什麼意思.
