我曾答應過版上某位前輩,收到offer第一件事就上來分享.
在連收6張老Ding之後,我終於辛苦有了代價,也是我最好的新年禮物.
我申請的是R1的,等了好久,本來以為也沒希望了,剛剛收到Offer時,跳到公司的桌上了(可憐還在上班). 把我同事嚇到!!!!
Background:
AT:750, GPA:2.96,很低.
W/E: 4年多一點, 搞海外投資.
Essays放了一個大槍, 要求Double Spaced,我忘記了. 本來認為也要被Ding的.
12/5 submitted, 1/2 phone 面試. 2/4 decision.
有了CMU的phone interview失拜經驗, 這次的面試我表現的相當不錯.
學校的culture到當地的活動,我都有先做好功課. 還聊到NC的曲棍球隊2年前拿了冠軍,and i feel happy for it, 面試官還說我很了解NC...其實是當初面試過Duke已經研究過一次了.
拿到UNC應該是我最好的offer吧. 除非有奇蹟出現CMU or Duke把我扶正(i doubt it). 或NYU R2會收我. 看起來我將會去北卡了.
最後祝大家新年快樂,都拿到想要的offer.
有任何UNC申請問題,或其他間都可以問我. 我的心中大石放下了,應該可以幫大家解決問題.

恭喜囉，真高興聽到你的好消息。這是一間不錯的學校，我之前有參觀過，環境很大又很漂亮，校園超雄偉，學生也很有親和力，相信在那邊唸書應該很愉快。
去年我也有拿到 UNC 的 offer ，可惜他們沒給我獎學金，所以我也只好投身到 CMU 了。(OS: 然後過著每天被壓榨的日子....)
今年 CMU 到今天為止已經收了三個台灣人了(國籍台灣，不算 ABC)，按照往年的比例，應該至少還會再加一兩個，所以無論是 R2, R3 or WL 都有機會，加油加油！

Go through your resume and Why Why Why are my first few questions.
I think you can search chasedream forum, my interview questions are exactly the same as those posted on the forum.
There was no tricky questions, and was blind interview. So, as long as you know yourself well and read your essays before the interview, you should be fine. Also, interviewer is very nice.
One thing you should do is to truely understand UNC culture. Since there is big rival between Duke and UNC, they want to know if you really want to attend UNC instead of just consider UNC as a backup. Make them to feel your passion.
