[問題] 請問大家知道UC Irvine的status要怎樣查嗎?

可以請教有經驗的人嗎? 我想查UC Irvine的status,但不知怎樣查?
網頁上有個status check但是要填user name與password
請問那要去哪申請啊?還是學校會給?急死了~但都不知怎樣查?
我不知道username要去哪找找?一直不知怎樣查~
麻煩好心的人可以說明一下嗎? 謝謝~~~

I think the school will notify you once they've viewd ur application and send you a new set of account name.
At least that was my case.

不知道樓主是申請什麼科系， 就我的情況(CS)而言， 當系上收到application material之後， 會發送一封email， 裡面會有登入status的網址及密碼， 如果樓主都沒收到email的話，建議寫信給系上詢問。

我是申請MBA~且學校有回信但沒給新的account usermname及
password等.......................

我的情形是submit之後會收到學校的e-mail
裡面會有user name & password
所以 如果沒收到的話
應該想信去問一下就ok了

BTW, 前兩天剛和UCI interview了
情況很糟很糟
應該是沒望了 ......

我喔~~~晚寄耶~~deadline過後快半個月才寄~他們就回信說喔We look forward to reviewing your application. 我想大概還沒審吧~
不過我有在PTT看到有人deadline後才申請此校~學校居然說沒關係還很快的拿到offer.........真好~
我有寫信去問了,估計看這幾天有回嗎? 若沒有就打電話過去~

我想我也是沒望的啦~我AT不高~Toefl差點~GPA也不怎麼滴,只有落落長的工作經驗~~~所以只想說報個希望!

UC Irvine 是用rolling application的
所以 應該沒有所謂的期限
但是 我也是在 他們網站上提供的deadline後 才submit.
我也差不多過了近5週才得到admission的.

再等一陣子吧 :)

The only concern/biggest concern I have for UCI is its alumni base... Besides, the US economy is not doing so well and without having greencard, it is a bit hard to convince myself UCI can provide what I want. It might be better off continue working...

Can you tell me the site of the admit list? I want to take a look as well^.^

UC Irvine is my safety, however i was quite surprised that they've offered me Fellowship.
In the mean time, I'm still waiting for replies from my other higher priorty schools.

Initially, I chose UCI over both UC Davis and UC SD cuz I thought UCI's location is more favorable for MBA, considering UC Davis is located in a farm, and UC SD's program is quite new.

Now that reading both yours and imagenooks' comments I think I'll look further into UCI's networking and career outlooks.

I'm planning to go into finance. If I do decide to go to UCI, then I might pave my way towards becoming a financial advisor. If I'm lucky to get into a top 20, then I would like to give I-banking a shot!
But the details are all still in the air.

What about you? How does UC I rank in your application list?!

I worked in LA metropolitan area for 2 years before and I am going in IT consulting and entrepreneurship so UCI is a pretty good starting point for my career, considering that there are lots of start-up and tech companies in Orange County/ Irvine area. I am still waiting for answers from my top schools but I really like UCI so far. I had my interview on campus and got to be in contact with several second year students even until now. They are extremely friendly and helpful, and I really do not find that atmosphere in a lot of the programs. The people in the admission office/career center are quite agressive on recruiting strong students and improving job placement rate, for they are farely young and very enthusiastic. UCI has been trying to improve its ranking for awhile now, and they just replaced the entire staff body in the career center a year ago, so I am optimistic about the employment stats in the next coupla years...

Up until now there is only one thing I think UCI needs to improve this year- I think they admit a lot of Indians, Chinese, ABC and local Californians, and thus affect the diversity of the program. I specifically asked the student ambassadors about diversity in the past few years and I found that this year is prolly the least diversified. However nothing is finalized yet since there are still lots of spots open... and I think a few current students have already given feedback to the admission office so hopefully this would be improved.
