Raymond23 \$m[1]:Dear antonypoyu:
Look forward to your sharing.
BTW, it seems McCombs has admitted more TWN students than previous years. Good luck to you & keep us posted!

Sorry for a little bit of delay.
First of all, I attended two classes and a student lunch. As you probably know, McCombs MBA admission committee is formed by current students, and those students are exactly those who would accompany you on class visits. So, future McCombs applicants, behave!
The first class I attended was "Operations". It was very engaging. We started by simulating decision making of a project outsourcing: how many people to outsource give a limited budget and time frame? I teamed up with current students and worked out quite nicely. McCombs students are very friendly and active, they made me feel one of them in no time.
During student lunch, one of student answered my question about "Fit" in McCombs. They want people who can work well with people within study groups. Since McCombs interviewer (for on campus interviews) is a senior student, they intend to spot personalities that work well within study groups. (but that still applies for on-campus interview I guess)
The afternoon class is something called "Global marketing strategy" or something similar. In this class, students have opportunity to present a lot, for all their Homeworks are delivered in such way.
To sum up, I think UT Austin McCombs is a great MBA program for international students. Since it's located at south (particularly Austin), people are overall very friendly. One less excuse for international students to get isolated!
Even though I might not get into this program, I recommend it wholeheartedly.
