這裡是表因果關係
contact後會有bonding 兩者都受影響

又hence不是連接詞
所以加個and

關於插入句，這是我的小筆記，從大陸張道真語法以及CD上牛牛的說法拼湊起來的。

插入句的意義：
用來表示說話人對某事物的看法、態度和推測，有時有解釋及說明的作用，有時表示總結，有時可以引起對方注意或思考。

插入句類型：
用簡短的句子作為插入語，可置於句中或句尾。
I think
as you know

副詞或副詞短語作插入語，一般至於句首或句尾。
Happily for him, his father's second wife was king to him too.

分詞或介詞短語作插入語，這類的插入語一般放在句手，有時可以放句中。
On the other hand, I didn't know you were there.

分詞短語做插入語。
Judging from your accent, you must be from English.

不定式短語做插入語。
To conclude, it was a great success.

B爺在二樓提過了，是因果關係的用法 :) 。
再幾個例句：
1. He worked hard, and hence his success.（他努力工作，因此就成功了。）
2. Social and cultural phenomena are object or event with meaning, and hence signs.（社會和文化現象都是有意義的東西，因此是符號。）

至於是不是插入句....這個我也不清楚，只好把他當慣用語來使用，看懂就好。

我早就有這個疑問了
照理說插入句應該沒有and才對
但我樓上舉的那兩個例子竟然都有and,
請再討論

若還原,應是the contact is effected continuously over a broad surface ~and hence the bonding is effected continuously over a broad surface~

the contac先被effected, 然後 the bonding 也被effected

**只有提出公因式,句子才能簡潔.
