If you had paid attentions to the beginning of your GMAT exam, you would have seen a statement regarding a non-disclosure agreement. In this agreement, which you had to check or to sign before you could start the exam; it specifically states a statement similar to this: you have not used or will not disclose materials Hence, Graduate Management Admission Council which is the owner of GMAT could possible suit people who have used or disclosed its GMAT materials based on Copyright Infringement. This will be a federal investigation, and the FBI will be involved in this matter since it is a federal crime.
It is unlikely that GMAC will go further than suiting that website which disclosed its materials. However, his/her scores were canceled and his/her admitted schools were notified. This information can be found on BusinessWeek's recent news.
Therefore, it is your best interest to do the following things based on my personal options. I am not a computer expert and I do not know how cyber crimes are investigated. Personally, I would suggest to abundant your computer which registered to this website or to Chasedream website. Every registration will leave your IP address on its website and it could be traced back by FBI. I will stop my current ID if it have been or especially posted articles on those JJ sections. I will register another ID with another computer in a different location if you want to continue browsing this non JJ sections. However, I would recommend not to come back to this website in order to avoid any litigation or investigation would possibly be brought to you.
Again, I personally do not think GMAC will go to the FBI, but if you have friends who do not like you very much and know that you have used any illegal material here. He or she could privately inform GMAC and ask GMAC to conduct an investigation especially on you.
Again, I am not a lawyer or an FBI agent. This is not a conclusive analysis on this subject. Please consult with your own lawyer(s) for further actions.
