第一個 its 其實無所指代,因為第二個 it 是虛受詞 (= that...), its 在主要結構裡沒有合理的名詞可以指代.

一開始看到題目我先把A跟E給刪了..
因為我看到its
想說它沒有先行詞

請問什麼時候可以無所指代?什麼時候要有所指代才對?

好像沒有一定的答案！

不過 E 的it離他要代的東西真的太遠了，容易造成誤解

而且同一句子裡 it不要代替兩個不同的東西 (這個點好像常常考)

(A) 把By....插入could, by.........., fly 其實是加強語氣,
原句應為could fly............by.............
(C) 選項 With 修飾前面的proponents 有誤

(D) 文法就錯了 Say....那句
