題目是assumption題型，解題方法可以用傳統的方法也可以用技巧的取非法
assumption是論證中因推果存在之假定為真之前提；assumption為真時因推果合邏輯，assumption為非時因推果不合邏輯

先說傳統的方法：
argument提出3件事實及1果
事1：2世紀前T半島與大陸本土方離成了T島
事2：T島上T花的平均高度比大陸本土T花的平均高度少了40公分
事3：T島比為T半島時乾燥許多
果1：目前T花的平均高度"至少部份"為T所發生之環境變化所造成(so the current average height of Tufe's Turfil sunflowers is undoubtedly at least partially attributable to changes in Tufe's environmental conditions.)
果1的因並沒有明確交代，是需要推論出來的。作者一定是看到了事3與事2就認定是事3造成事2，並將這一層因果關係當成果1之因。 簡單圖示如下：

(事3--->事2)--->果1
(T島比為T半島時乾燥許多--[部份地造成]-->T島T花的平均高度少了40公分)--->目前T花的平均高度"至少部份"為T所發生之環境變化所造成

因此assumption可能存在兩個地方，當然本題考的assumption是在括號內的因果係中，因為括號外的因果關係是絕對成立的不需要前提假設，原因是乾燥氣候屬於環境變化，如果乾燥氣候能影響花高的話，環境變化必然能影響花高.

不妨將assumption出現的因果關係再寫一次:
T島比為T半島時乾燥許多--[部份地造成]-->T島T花的平均高度少了40公分
因推果的assumption有兩種常出現的形式：1. 排除他因 2. 確認因果關係
選C的人是因為選了第一種(排除他因)的assumption但是這裡不能用排除他因，因為此argument並不是"因造果"而是"因at least partially造果"；也就是說容許它因造成相同果，但本因一定能影響果。所以要取第2種進一步確認因果關係的assumption即答案D(環境乾燥對花高的影響力並沒有被土壤養份之因素給抵銷)


再來看取非的作法:
C取非為 "是本土的環境變化造成平均花高的差異"，不是氣侯變乾燥所造成的。就算如此原題因推果還是成立，因為"本土的環境變化"還是一種環境變化
C錯, 因為正確的排除它因型assumption取非後的結果應該是"它因造同果"而C取非是同因造同果

D取非為"T島的土壤也有幫助T花在乾燥氣候下長高的養份"，如此的話氣候變乾燥就不一定能影響花高了，因此原因推果不能成立。如果40公分差跟氣侯變乾"可能毫為關係"，那怎麼能說目前T花的平均高度"至少部份"為T所發生之環境變化所造成

另外C有另一個錯誤就是把要論證的因果關係當作論證中的前提假設：要論證的因果關係是"環境變化"對花高是否有影響？怎麼能在論證中假設環境變化確實影響花高！

whoops你說的是，之前我對題目的了解是半島叫Tufe本土也叫Tufe如Korean peninsula, Arabian peninsula, 都是跟著本土的名子，
後來查了一下發現ireland就有Beara, Dingle, Cooley...好多半島
那麼C就不會有將要論証之因果當成論証之假設的問題了
