這題我也是選E

不過E選項的persuade由主動變為被動, 主語也從原句的persuading變為market

equilibrium...再者, 亦將原句had previously been改為former...有改變句意之嫌

B選項動詞是restored, 整句看來似乎比E來的精確

不知道這樣解釋答案B通不通

這題兄弟的看法是這樣的：
第一，看到分號，答案肯定要有個完整句子。
第二，一個一個看：A的by persuading..., market不好，因為，market不會是persuading的動作者；同樣，c去掉，因為it，指代不清。
第二，D不好，這裡用名詞比較不precise。
第三，B E那個好？先看E:market equilibrium was restored when people were persuaded to eat former horse feed：最大的問題在用when不precise甚至有點曲解原意，因為原意是說，透過persuading...的動作，使市場達到平衡(有表達因果的意味)，所以，如果一定要像E這樣講，就要說：market equilibrium was restored bypersuading people to.....而且，eat "former horse feed"也用得不好。
再看B，persuading people to eat what had previously been horse feed restored market equilibrium：v-ing當主詞，而且是個主動句persuading..restored......符合ETS的偏好。而且，用what had previously been horse feed比former horse feed要好。再補充，這裡用過去完成表達一個比過去(restored)更早的事，實在很完美！

此題為B,GMAC的所有題目中,被動解的題目皆來自於作該動作的主體不明確或未點出或不正確,此題就是這樣.回樓上,這題真正的使restore equilibrium market 主體是未點出也不需點出,應該是sales of breakfast cereals
