這是if 子句的省略與到裝句型 (很久沒在SC裡看到嚕) ^^

條件子句的動詞若為 : were / had / should / could

是可以省略if 並將 動詞提前滴

:) 記得大概是醬子 ,請後人補充吧

另外我一直認為C比較好，因為B分號後不知所云，那個do so是指冰要融還是不融呢?

如果缺動詞則破壞平衡
且兩個動詞不一樣(前面are 後面is)

were it to do so = if it were to do so
假設句倒裝

temperature不會cold吧

這也是我一直以來的疑問
應該是題目的失誤吧

My ideas for discussion:
1. "cold temperature" is a very frequent phrase, though yeah a little illogical(I found a lot with Google..)
2. though B seems more parallel, C carries a good omission--
XX are iii and YY (is or are) jjj ---still in parallel
3. otherwise = or else
4. "were it to do so"
poor pronoun reference here: "it" refers to "little" or "polar ice" ?
If the preceding part is somthing like, "that the polar ice doesn't
melt...", it will make sense to use "were it to do so".
But by "little of polar ice", it means a very small amount does melt.
So, were "polar ice" to melt
or, were "little of polar ice " to melt
------They are both contradictory to the previous part.
Note that in C, "little polar ice", "little" is a adj, while in B, "little of polar ice", "little" is a pronoun.
