我覺得它要說明的是
第一個要形容比較density要用greater。
第二個要使用條件情況的子句時，前面否定語氣時，
不可使用provided。

那如果不是否定的情況下應該是可用吧? ^o)

总结：虽然有些词典也认为其有IF的含义，但大多数还是认可且只认可作only if解。而only if的意思是“只有”，表达的是必要条件（上面所有的例子我们当作必要条件来理解都不会出现荒谬的意思）。相反IF表达的是充分条件。

我想請問一下：predicts that....
這題為什麼 predicts 後面是條件句 will fail...，而不是用假設句 would fail... ？

OG 裡這一段看不太懂。請牛牛幫忙解答一下。這一段是指 predicts, will fail, is 三個連起來是固定用法嗎？

選項(A)錯的關鍵不是在前面的predict，而是在後面的if; if 的主句和從句有很嚴格的時態要求：
1.若 if 後面跟的是現在式，則從句必須用現在式或未來式(will) => A錯
2.若 if 後面跟的是過去式，則從句必須用would，表示假設語氣

OG說timber wolf density does not clear refer to the population.

我不太懂他這裡的意思, 是改變原本的句意嗎??

GMAT 的考題裡,會用 N of ... 來明確指出主角是 N, 與 adj.+N 的結構比較起來,後者相對不明確,尤其是 adj. 用名詞的時候.
timber wolf density 主角是 timer? wolf? density? 是什麼 density?
